June 2010 is a relatively mellow month for games which means you can now catch up on that huge backlog of yours, courtesy May 2010. Or you could check out what June has in store for you. You know you want to.
Naughty Bear (Xbox360 PS3)
He may look cute and cuddly but Naughty Bear is a devious little SoB (son of a bear i.e.). He maims and kills other bears because they were stupid enough not to invite him to one of their birthday parties. This is one bear that does not play nice – with anyone!
Transformers: War for Cybertron (Xbox360 PS3 PC)
The last few Transformers games have been crappy tie-ins with their respective movies but all that could change with WfC, a third person shooter that allows you to play as either the Autobots or the Decepticons. Making the deal even sweeter is a co-operative mode and a full-fledged persistent online versus mode complete with unlocks and upgrades.
All Points Bulletin (Xbox360 PC)
If you wet your pants at the thought of a GTA MMO, keep your eyes peeled for All Points Bulletin (APB), an urban MMO that allows players to tear down the fictional city of San Paro as criminals or align themselves as the law. Oh and the icing on this urban cake is that Dave Jones, one of the founders of the GTA series is helming this project.
Singularity (Xbox360 PS3 PC)
Developer Raven haven’t been receiving a ton of love from gamers and the press alike but all that could change with their time bending first person Singularity in which players manipulate the very fabric of time to prevent yet another apocalyptic alternate historical situation. It’s clichéd yes, but interesting nevertheless.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (PSP)
It’s the first handheld Metal Gear game to be directed directly by Hideo Kojima. Nuff said.
